Different situations call for different media approaches. The flexibility of the Web means that you have a wide range of options for using video, audio, and images online. From basic websites to podcasts and vodcasts to online conferencing, we have the tools and expertise to tailor media production to best suit your communication needs.
Our original programming is primarily delivered in some of the School of Public Health's podcasts and vodcasts. Your audience can use programs like iTunes to get up to the minute content. Three podcasts/vodcasts you can subscribe to now are Public Health Matters , Public Lectures Channel, and Public Health Moment. With the processes we've developed, we can guide you through the process of setting up your own podcast/vodcast.
During the 2006 Minnesota State Fair, SPH asked 73 fair-goers to estimate how many calories were in a meal, as well as several other questions of public health interest. This was a feature on the Public Health Matters Podcast and was featured on the University of Minnesota's home page.
The Public Health Moment is a 90 second weekly segment featuring School of Public Health faculty interviewed on current health topics. These are provided to University News Service and, in turn, to news outlets everywhere.
Each episode of My Life is a portrait of a different School of Public Health student. My Life is available on the Public Health Matters podcast/vodcast channel.
The School of Public Health Public Lectures Channel is a growing collection of the diverse lectures at SPH intended both as outreach and for use in University of Minnesota courses. This is available as a podcast.
The DLG is continually adding to its collection of original photographs. We often do specific photo shoots for individual projects. The Minnesota Emergency Readiness Education and Training online modules needed images to show complex concepts, so we designed a photo shoot geared towards that need.
We routinely make professional quality recordings of classroom and public lectures. These can be used in a podcast or as a means of generating material for online courses.
